In the roles, he identified investment themes, formulated global and country equity business strategies, guided business development, oversaw the portfolio, and advised teams on new investments ($5 billion invested in 65+ deals) and on complex equity exits/portfolio matters. His experience spans countries in Asia, Europe, Middle East, Latin America, and Africa. He has lived in Hong Kong, Washington DC, Dubai, Mumbai, and Delhi.

Sanjeev has an MBA degree from George Washington University, B.Com. and LL.B. degrees from the University of Delhi, and professional accounting certification from the Institute of Cost & Works Accountant of India. His core philosophy is grounded in Economic and Societal Impact, Purpose, Good Governance, and Value Creation as drivers of investment strategy, and the source of superior developmental and financial investment returns. In addition to financial institutions and emerging markets, Sanjeev is passionate about entrepreneurship, innovation, technology, and sustainability. He set up GVCP to directly engage in these areas through advisory work, promoting investments, and institution building.
